The Military Museum of Southern New England has a collection of over 10,000 artifacts covering all of the armed services of the United States and displays a vivid cross section of 20th century American military history. Many of their vehicles are extremely rare, often the only example in the western hemisphere! Located near the Danbury Mall at 125 Park St.
The Danbury Museum & Historical Society (Scott-Fanton Museum) is located at 43 Main Street in downtown Danbury. The museum preserves the John and Mary Rider House (c. 1785), the Dodd Hat Shop (c. 1790), the Marian Anderson Studio, and the Charles Ives Birthplace. Huntington Hall, a modern exhibit building, contains the museum offices and a research library.
